ARTIST STATEMENT
RESUME

My work attempts to coalesce consciousness and the human condition. Believing humans are crucibles for ideology and memory, I use wheel thrown ceramics in conjunction with my figurative sculpture to play with the idea of vessel. The figure acts as a catalyst for examining one's self from the outside to understand and empathize with human behavior. I investigate fear, meaning, mortality, fate and gratification to set a stage for a narrative of selfawarness.
